FLIGHT OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

Position: Part-Time to Full-Time | Hybrid, Primarily On-Site

THE JOB

True North Airways is seeking an experienced, aviation-minded Flight Operations Coordinator to support our private charter operations from our Huronia Airport (CYEE) hangar in Midland, Ontario.

This is an operations-focused role for someone who understands daily aircraft operations, works confidently with pilots and maintenance teams, and brings the judgement, initiative and attention to detail required to coordinate safe, efficient and seamless flights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate daily flight operations, aircraft movements, charter requests and flight schedules.

Liaise with pilots regarding trip details, crew schedules, aircraft availability and operational requirements.

Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure aircraft availability and maintenance requirements are addressed.

Monitor weather, schedule changes and operational factors that may affect flights.

Assist with flight planning and operational preparation, as appropriate to qualifications and experience.

Arrange fuel, hangarage, ground transportation, accommodations and other client and crew logistics.

Communicate operational updates and changes promptly and accurately.

Maintain accurate operational records and contribute to improving procedures and processes.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Previous aviation experience, ideally in flight operations, dispatch, charter operations or a similar environment.

Experience working directly with pilots or flight crews.

Strong organizational, time-management and multitasking skills.

Excellent attention to detail, communication and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to remain calm, adaptable and organized when plans change.

Strong computer skills and the ability to learn operational software quickly.

Initiative, sound judgement and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with the broader operations team.

A high level of professionalism, discretion and client-service awareness.

THE RIGHT FIT

You are proactive, organized and naturally take ownership. You anticipate what needs to happen before a flight—not after a problem arises. You are comfortable communicating with pilots, clients, maintenance providers and airport representatives, and understand that operational safety, sound judgement and an exceptional client experience must work together.

WORKING MODEL & LOCATION

Based at Huronia Airport (CYEE), Midland, Ontario, this hybrid position is approximately:

70% on-site at our CYEE hangar

30% remote or flexible, as operational requirements permit

A strong on-site presence is essential for direct coordination with aircraft, pilots, maintenance and the local operation. Flexibility outside traditional business hours may occasionally be required due to the nature of flight operations. Candidates must be able to reliably commute to CYEE.

The position may be structured as part-time or full-time, depending on operational needs and the successful candidate’s availability and experience.

WHY TRUE NORTH AIRWAYS?

At True North Airways, safety, professionalism, discretion and service define our approach to private aviation. This is an opportunity to apply your aviation knowledge, contribute directly to operational excellence and become an integral part of our growing operations team, and as a full time team member, you will be eligible for health and dental benefits.

HOW TO APPLY

Submit your resume and a brief introduction outlining your aviation background and suitability for the role. Please highlight hands-on experience with aircraft, pilots, charter operations, dispatch, scheduling or flight coordination.
